The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved new appointments to the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOPADEC) and the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC).
This was disclosed in a special government announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
Ikhilor said that the appointments took immediate effect.
According to Ikhilor, Francis Osaretin Osabuohien was appointed as the Chairman of the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOPADEC), while Felix Osazee, Linda Aliyu Omonzele, Princess (Mrs.) Ikuoyemwen Ewuare-Aimiuwu, Edosomwan Kelvin Iredia, Stanley Odidi and Tony Osazuwa were members.
Similarly, the Governor also approved the composition of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC).
Jonathan Aifuobhokhan will serve as the Chairman, Asein Ojo Victor, Ighomo Egharevba Thomas, Imafidon Hope Osarodion, Dr. Suleman Ovuehor Ikhuoria, Hon. Anthony Aikpoghome, Umoru Habib Frank and Aremiyau Aligamhe Momoh are members.
Ikhilor said the appointments were effective immediately and were aimed at strengthening governance in key sectors of the state.
