Gunmen Kidnap Nigerian Navy Officer, Two Others In Abuja, Demand N100million Ransom
Abuja (Core Reporters) A Nigerian Naval officer, Lt. Cynthia Akor, and two others were kidnapped from their residence in the Mpape area of Abuja on Friday night.
The kidnappers are demanding a staggering N100 million ransom for their release. Lt. Akor is attached to the Nigerian Defence Headquarters in Abuja
According to a source who spoke to PUNCH, the kidnappers have already contacted the families of the hostages, making the hefty ransom demand. The source confirmed that Lt. Akor was among the three people kidnapped on Friday night.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has not yet confirmed the incident, as efforts to reach the spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, were unsuccessful.
The Defence Headquarters has also not commented on the incident, as the Director, Defence Media Operations, and the Director of Defence Information did not respond to calls.
