Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and Chairman of the Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Anselm Ojezua have reacted to the interim court order on suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of the party by an FCT High Court in Abuja, pending hearing and determination of the substantive suit.
Speaking at a consultative meeting between Governor Obaseki, APC leadership and party executives of Edo South Senatorial District which held in Benin City, few hours after news of the interim suspension broke, and at a media briefing, Anselm Ojezua noted that the State Chapter had suspended Adams Oshiomhole and asked him to step aside before
Governor Obaseki, addressing chieftains and members of APC Edo South emphasized that the judgement was received with mixed feelings.
The party faithful thereafter took to major roads, from Oba Ovoranmwen through to Airport Road in Benin City on a road show.
The Governor and Adams Oshiomhole have been at loggerheads for some time over the State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress and the second term bid of Obaseki.
