Prof Mike Ozekhome, SAN, was on Thursday the 27th of February, 2025, elevated to the status of LIFE BENCHER (THE HIGHEST DISTINCTION IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION).
The ceremony which was well attended, had Chairman of the Body of Benchers, Asiwaju Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN ( Life Bencher); his wife, Chief ( Mrs) Victoria Awomolo, SAN ( Bencher ); Hon Justice Alfa and Belgore (ex CJN).
Others are Hon Justice Umaru Abdullahi.( former president of the Court of Appeal); Mrs Gloria Umoren, SAN; Chief Isenalumhe,SAN ( Life Bencher); Prof Prof Joy Ezeilo,SAN ( Life Bencher ); Chief Solomon Umoh, SAN ( Life Bencher); former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara ( Life Bencher); and other distinguished Life Benchers and Benchers.
In a similar development, It was another glittering feather etched on the hat of Akpakpa Vighi-Vighi of Edoland, Chief (Prof) Mike Agbedor Abu Ozekhome, SAN, on Saturday, 1st March, 2025, by The Sun Newspaper as he emerged the winner of THE SUN COURAGE IN LEADERSHIP AWARD at its Award ceremony held at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
