. As Julius Berger donates vehicles to Lagos State Security Trust Fund
The Managing Director of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Engr. Dr. Lars Richter has said that the security sector is vital to the smooth running of any country as it upholdsd the affairs of the people together.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director when he made the donation to the state government Monday, the Security Manager, Region West of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Mr. Lucky Agbajama further said that Julius Berger is donating the five Hilux vehicles to support the Lagos State Security Trust Fund on the security of lives and properties.
Disclosing that the decision to make the decision arose from a breakfast meeting held between the Managing Director and Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu, in the course of their discussion at that meeting, the Managing Director was briefed on the establishment of the Trust Fundwhere notable organisations and individuals were invited to be voluntary stakeholders. My Managing Director pledged to make a handsome donation to the Fund. What we are witnessing today is a manifestation of that pledge, the Security Manager added.
Receiving the documents and keys to the five vehicles from Julius Berger, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Sam Egube who represented his principal thanked the leading engineering construction company for the kind gesture saying, on behalf of His Excellency, The Gorvernor of Lagos State, I thank the Managing Director of Julius Berger. I also thank the company for this gesture. No doubt, this will add value to our security efforts in the state. I thank you very much for this even as we believe and look forward to more support from you.
TheExecutive Secretary/CEO of the Trust Fund, Dr. Abdulrazaq Balogun thanked the company for the donation saying, we too are grateful for this unexpected donation. We must therefore promise that the Trust Fund will deploy them to full use immediately. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude; and we look forward to more support from Julius Berger.
Apart from the Security Manager, other members of Team Julius Berger to the event included Mrs Mobolaji Ogunyemi, amnipr and Mr. Habeeb Olawale.
It will be recalled that in 2020, Julius Berger made a similar donation to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona to enhance security in his kingdom, a gesture that was highly appreciated not only by the monarch and his chiefs but also his kinsmen and subjects.
